Job Description

Locums First is seeking a Locum Occupational Therapist to join a GP practice in Markinch.

As an Occupational Therapist at Locums First, your main responsibilities will include assessing and treating patients with disabilities, injuries, or illnesses that affect their daily lives. You will work closely with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to develop personalized treatment plans that promote their independence and improve their overall quality of life. In this dynamic role, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patient populations, including but not limited to, pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals with mental health conditions.

Locums First is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team on a locum basis. Working Days and Hours:

  • Flexible working days between Monday – Friday
  • 8 hours a day
  • Flexible between 08:00 – 18:00
  • Long-term role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help people find ways to continue with everyday activities, e.g. learning new ways to do things or changing their environment to make things easier
  • Create condition management plans
  • Advise and signpost patients

Qualifications:

  • Educated to bachelor/master’s degree level (or equivalent, eg diploma)
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Able to operate at first contact practice and an advanced level of practice
