Job Description
Locums First is seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner for flexible regional primary care sessions across Burnham On Sea. This role offers structured sessions within established primary care clinics, giving you full autonomy over your clinical practice while maintaining consistency in your working environment.
You will deliver advanced assessments, manage same-day presentations and support routine patient demand within well-supported GP and community services. Each clinic provides clear pathways, ensuring a safe and efficient workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Running autonomous ANP-led clinics within primary care settings
- Managing acute, undifferentiated and minor illness presentations
- Conducting telephone and face-to-face triage
- Prescribing safely within scope of competence
- Reviewing results and handling routine follow-up actions
- Recording accurate clinical notes within the clinic’s digital systems
Requirements
- Level 7 Advanced Practice qualification
- Independent Prescribing (V300)
- Experience in GP, urgent care or community settings
- Strong diagnostic reasoning and communication skills
- Confidence working autonomously in new environments
- Enhanced DBS clearance
Working Pattern
- Fully flexible sessional work
- Weekday, evening or weekend availability
- Ad-hoc or regular ongoing bookings
