Job Description
Locums First is seeking a Locum Pharmacy Technician to join a GP practice in Tonypandy.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced pharmacy environment, excellent customer service skills, and a passion for helping patients. As a Locum Pharmacy Technician, you will work alongside a team of pharmacists and other pharmacy technicians, providing crucial support in dispensing medication and ensuring the accuracy and safety of prescriptions. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled pharmacy technician to gain further knowledge and experience in a variety of pharmacy settings.
Responsibilities:
- Support SMRs
- Counsel patients on medicines
- Manage prescriptions
- Conduct medicines reconciliation
- Conduct medicines audits

Qualifications:
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Enrolled in or qualified from an approved training programme that meets the National Competency Framework for Primary Care Pharmacy Techniciansor, for example, Primary care pharmacy education pathway (PCPEP)
Working Days and Hours:
- Flexible working days between Monday – Friday
- 8 hours a day
- Flexible between 08:00 – 18:00
- Long-term role
