Job Description
Locums First is seeking a Locum General Practice Assistant to join a GP practice in Pollokshields.

Your role as a Locum General Practice Assistant will be vital in ensuring our healthcare facility operates efficiently and provides excellent patient care. As a Locum, you will have the flexibility to work in various general practice settings, providing you with valuable experience and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Arrange clinical support: referrals, tests and follow-ups
- Conduct simple clinical observations
- Provide administrative support: letters, completing forms for GPs to sign
- Explain procedures to patients
Requirements:
- Trained in-practice, with on-the-job training in line with the DES role outline and HEE national competency framework for general practice assistants
- Can do so by, for example, completing HEE’s accredited training programme
Working Days and Hours:
- Flexible working days between Monday – Friday
- 8 hours a day
- Flexible between 08:00 – 18:00
- Long-term role
