Job Description
Locums First is looking for a General Practitioner to support regional community health and primary care services across Chapel Street. This role offers flexible sessional work across community-focused GP environments, ideal for GPs experienced in managing varied clinical presentations and supporting urgent patient demand.
You will contribute to community services by providing autonomous clinics, managing acute presentations, delivering routine reviews and supporting triage workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Running autonomous GP clinics within community health and primary care settings
- Managing acute, chronic and minor illness presentations
- Supporting urgent care demand through telephone triage
- Prescribing safely in line with clinical policies
- Completing routine clinical actions including results, follow-ups and referrals
- Documenting clear and accurate digital notes
Requirements
- GMC-registered General Practitioner
- NHS Performers List
- Experience in community, urgent care or primary care services
- Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in varied environments
- Valid indemnity and Enhanced DBS clearance
Working Pattern
- Flexible sessional shifts
- Weekday, evening or weekend availability
- Ideal for both short-term and ongoing arrangements
