Job Description

Locums First is looking for a Prescribing Advanced Nurse Practitioner to work for a GP practice in Market Rasen. This position is suited to a confident prescriber who enjoys working independently while being supported by a highly organised primary care team.

You will deliver high-quality clinical care across urgent and routine patient presentations, contribute to safe clinical decision-making and help maintain smooth patient flow within the practice. The environment offers structured workflows, clinical oversight and consistent session planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Same-day access clinics and structured triage
  • Independent assessment and management of acute cases
  • Prescribing and medication reviews
  • Handling pathology, results and clinical actions
  • Referral and follow-up management
  • Maintaining clear, accurate consultation records

Requirements

  • Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification
  • Independent Prescribing (V300 – essential)
  • Recent primary care or urgent care experience
  • Confident autonomous clinical decision-maker
  • Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision systems
  • Enhanced DBS clearance

Working Pattern

  • Regular and ad-hoc sessions available
  • Flexible clinic scheduling
